Dear Customers, Son of a carpet merchant, I grew up on bread and carpets. From a young age,
in my free time, I went to my father s shop where I admired, enchanted, the
endless variety of designs and colors. I watched the repairman at work and
learned how much patient effort went into the creation of each carpet: the
design cardboard, the laying of the warp, the skillful hands tying the knots one
by one with wool of different colors, the weft passed after each row of knots
and then beaten down. At the end of this endless work, shearing and washing
reveal the carpet in all its splendor, ready to illuminate our homes with its
beauty and warmth. An oriental carpet is the result of long centuries of an artistic tradition that still today remains alive and unchanged because it is the genuine expression of the soul of a people. In some places, the carpet is a way of life; in every home there is a loom; in the humblest dwelling an artist may be hidden. Knot by knot, row by row, day by day the carpet is completed and, discovered by skilled seekers, reaches us. And we, who love beauty and who seek the best that imagination, genius, and human skill have created, can no longer conceive of a welcoming home without carpets, for it is they who, more than anything else, give it light and warmth, make it welcoming and refined; unique, just as every carpet is unique. The strong concentration and the beating of the carpet's knots guarantee a product of exceptional durability. An oriental carpet, if perfectly preserved, gains beauty over time. With best regards
